Superbowl Gran Fondo di Smeraldo Collana

The last several years a small group of cyclists have ventured out on Superbowl Sunday to ride the Emerald Necklace route within and through the Cleveland Metroparks. The Cleveland Metroparks are called the "Emerald Necklace" because they form a nearly complete ring around the Cleveland communities. This year I am taking it up a notch and incorporating an Italian theme. Introducing the Superbowl Gran Fondo di Smeraldo Collana or for you non-Italians Superbowl Big Ride of Emerald Necklace.



Very loosely modeled after the Gran Fondos of Italy without the entry fees and support. The date is Sunday February 6th. In the Italian spirit after the ride all are invited to my place to warm up and enjoy Italian wine, meats and cheeses. I am trying to arrange a sag car or moto. Start time will be 9am. The ride will start and finish at my place In University Heights (email me for address at bdavis at ironwood-dev dot com). Ride will be 4 to 6 hours depending on the weather and road conditions. Below is the route which is subject to change.
