Busy Weekend

Spent Saturday catchig up on the bookkeeping for my wife's business, Beyondmotherhood.com. It is pretty easy using Quickbooks, but it does take some time. We also got everything organized so we can get it to our tax accountant this week. Then we watched a movie with the kids, Meet the Robinsons. It was a cool movie with a great message, Keep Moving Forward. After the movie, we put the kids to bed and my wife and I watched Star Wars III - Revenge of the Sith. I had never seen it before and liked what I saw...too bad I fell asleep with about 30 minutes to go and missed Darth Vader getting burned up.

Sunday, I was up at 6am to get ready for a ride. It was clear and cold with a stiff 20 mph wind from the North. I left the house at 7:30 and took the long way towards Canal and Rockside for the 9am group ride. Unfortunatley, there were only two other riders. We rode together for about 15 miles until I had to start heading North. I ended up with just over 4 hours and 60 miles, much of it into a headwind or crosswind. The fixie kicked my ass today on the climbs.

I did Sagamore climb to hike n bike, Snowville, a few on Riverview, Dunham along with a few others. On the steeper sections I would look down at the computer and see 3 mph and a 165 hr (180 is my max). It was like doing leg presses for 5-7 minutes sets on the 42 x 15 gear.

First big race is Cohutta 100 on April 25th which is a 100 mile point to point mtb race with over 13k feet of climbing. With the profile of this race, it is time to get serious about this bike riding and drop some weight.

Later,

BRD

Hello-

I'm writing from Global Ride Productions (www.globalride.net). We make virtual cycling training DVDs for indoor cycling. As a cycling blogger, we thought you may be interested in writing a review of our product. We are willing to send you our entire Hawaii series DVD boxed set, something we sell on our site for $75, in exchange for you writing a review. You don't have to send the DVDs back - we see giving them to you as a thank you as you help spread the word about a new company.

Our virtual cycling DVDs are different from any others you may have tried. We travel to exotic locations, have multiple coaching tracks on every DVD, licensed music, and bonus yoga, pilates or strength training sessions designed for cyclists. They're a great product and we just want to spread the word.

If you'd like to receive the set, just shoot me back a message with a mailing address and we'll get them out to you asap.

Thanks a lot. Feel free to email with any questions.
