Sunday Ride Update
Left home at 6:15am on cross bike with full fenders. Rode 20 miles to Brecksville, met Ross Clark at 7:30. Headed N on Riverview to Canal to Tinkers Creek into Bedford Reservation up Gorge Parkway Hill and then to South Chagrin Reservation. Met Bob Rodgers at Polo Fields. Headed N on River Road into North Chagrin Reservation to Route 6 to SR 91 to Eddy to Rockefeller to Euclid Ave. to Lakeshore to MLK. Ross and Bob had wet feet so we aborted and rode 10 miles N to my house for dry clothes, a few beers and chili. Ross’ wife picked them up at my house….oh the humiliation! I ended up with 80 miles and just under 6 hours of ride time. FULL FENDERS ARE COOL. Temps hovered around 30 and winds were from the West primarily. Going west from Euclid to MLK in a 30 mph wind was NO FUN AT ALL. Planning to do the ride again when it warms up….anyone care to join me?
