Winding Down 2006 Season

The year is winding down and cross season is upon us. Been busy with work and trying to fit in some training to stay sharp for cross.

On Saturday, October 21, I am promoting the 2nd Annual Chagrin River Cyclocross Challenge. Last year we had 57 racers and look forward to a bigger turnout this year and more importantly hoping more people can stay for the party.

Mountain bikes, as always, are welcome. Free camping will be available Friday and Saturday night and there will be a Belgium style beer garden......mmmmm.....beeeeerrr! I’ll be there Friday and Saturday nights, along with a few other......who is going to help us tap the keg on Friday and finish it Saturday evening?

Bring your townie bikes, because Bob Rodgers and are planning on doing a Number 6. For the uncultured, a Number 6 (from the movie Blazing Saddles) is where we go a-ridin' into town (Chagrin Falls), a whampin' and whompin' every livin' thing that moves within an inch of its life. Except the women folks, of course. Seriously though, a pub crawl on bicycles seems like the right thing to do, plus Chagrin Falls is like 2 miles of backroads and rails trials from the venue.

Drop me a line if you’re coming, so I can plan accordingly. Pass this along to anyone that might be interested in such nonsense.

Later,
BRD
