2006 Season Results

The 2006 season was a pretty good one for me thus far. I raced in 15 races and had many top 10 and top 5 finishes. I upgraded to Cat 3 on the road and made some nice improvements in my second year as an expert on the mountain bike.

The highlight was my 3rd place finish at the 24 Hour of Snowshoe back in June (3rd of 12; Solo Division; 14 laps, 170 miles). The competition was good and I learned alot about myself and about my training. A second highlight was my 27th place showing at the Wildnerness 101 which was about 20 places higher than the year before and about 20 minutes faster (27th of 280; Solo Division, 101 miles; 9:17).

Lowlights were the 6 Hours of Power where I started slow and faded with cramps. I had fun and enjoyed the race, but the results were pretty dissappointing (16th of 71; Solo Division, 6 laps, 60 miles). Another lowlight was a field finish at Zoar Road Race.
