I don'...Thanks for your comments and concern Gary. I don't trust doctors but have read a lot on the internet and talked to any people who have successfully completed similar Fasts.

Hyponatremia usually occurs when too much liquid is ingested at which point you essentially dilute your sodium and electrolyte levels.

Part of the reason for the Fast is to elminate addictions that I have to caffeine, crappy food, alchohol, etc.

Later,
BRDInvestment Bikerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00854564672646683431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18039514.post-16258882305919267422008-01-16T15:41:00.000-05:002008-01-16T15:41:00.000-05:00PLEASE be careful with your diet/fasting. In addi...PLEASE be careful with your diet/fasting. In addition to increasing your water intake to make up for the water you're no longer getting from food, make sure you are getting enough sodium and electrolytes or you could be at risk for hyponatremia (which can be fatal).

There are 3500 calories in a pound of body fat, so unless you've been running a huge calorie deficit (or taken a HUGE dump) you may be under hydraded.

I would consult with a doctor, nutritionist, coach, trainer, etc. I'm not sure if the possible benefits from your fast out weigh the risks involved.Gary Burkholderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00995280001308687537noreply@blogger.com
